See Vea - Frank & Stewart Cubillos

Introducing “See Vea”, an art show featuring the work of father and son Frank Cubillos and Stewart Cubillos. Look beyond first impressions—each piece is packed with symbolism, hidden messages & emotion. Stop by, say hi, and enjoy the no-host bar!

Frank Cubillos is a visual artist whose work combines bold composition, layered textures, and vibrant color to explore emotion, memory, and movement. With a background in design, he brings structure and intention to expressive forms, often merging abstract and figurative elements. His pieces are a lifelong exploration of storytelling through shape, rhythm, and visual contrast.

Stewart is a Los Angeles–based artist whose work explores the tension between beauty and the grotesque. Working primarily in oil paint and colored pencil, he creates scenes that balance calm serenity with subtle unease. Influenced by artists like M.C. Escher, Francis Bacon, and Henri Matisse, his work blends classical sensibility with dreamlike distortion—revealing both the warmth and strangeness of human emotion. Born and raised in Chatsworth, California, Stewart grew up surrounded by art made by his family, inspiring him to draw from a young age. His process ranges from deliberate sketching to spontaneous creation, often evolving over weeks until he feels ready to abandon a piece.
